Reimbursed care at Gender Clinic

In 2025, Gender Clinic has a contract with all health insurers in the Netherlands apart from Salland. We always declare expenses directly with your health insurer. Your care at Gender Clinic is insured and will be fully reimbursed by your health insurer. You will need to pay an initial amount, known as your ‘deductible’ or ‘eigen risico’, just like at any other hospital. 

If Gender Clinic does not have a contract with your health insurer, your care will be fully reimbursed under a non-contracted care policy. Under a contracted care policy, the reimbursement of your care will depend on your health insurer. You may also need to pay a personal contribution (‘eigen bijdrage’). Care costs for uninsured clients

We deliver care to insured clients. However, you may also request to access care at your own initiative and cost. In this case, we will charge our separate care costs for uninsured clients. These costs differ from those charged to health insurers, which are based on our price agreements with them.
